African Art West Indian Social Gallery/Yale Gallery

Though my traveling I had to choose African Art. My mother and her friends foundation put , on an exhibit of African Art. African are as seen to the right has many different kinds of Art. The most common African art work can be see as "traditional art". This means cultures societies and past civilizations. Some examples of different African Art work can be seen as "African Diasporas and African American Art.
The African art that I grew up knowing was Jamaican African Art. Eugene Hyde painted this oil and mixed media on Canvas. The price of a painting like this is 3, 000 us dollars.
the art work sen in Yale art Gallery is a collection from the African south if the Sahara . Making of art from work , carved heads and ceramics, and other materials from natural resources .
The mask above is from the West Africa , Liberia. Most African art focuses on the human fugues. These "visual abstractions ": African works tend to favor visual abstractions over natural representation(wikipedia , 2009)
The "Emphasis on sculpture" African art is tend to favor three dimension art work over two dimensional art work.
African art work can be painting also. These painting tells stories of Cairo , cultures of how people had salves and how women had to wait in the Harlem while the men met.
